Our favorite henna events are Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) functions and Renaissance faires.  In these situations, we dress in period costume and set up our booth to resemble a desert tent.  It truly is opulent, with velvet rugs, piles of pillows, exotic incense, silky tassles and colorful fabric-draped walls.   We strive to make our booth warm and inviting, and our penchant for color sets us apart in the crowd.  This is especially true at night, when we light mountains of candles, and our cozy pink tent glows from within. Henna is traditionally a womens' art, though it is also applied to men in times of victory and celebration.  Along with henna, we offer harquus and woad.  Our joy is to make women feel beautiful and men feel fierce by recreating these ancient face and body tattoos with resin-based body paint and natural indigo.
